The Christian & Missionary Alliance grew from the ministry of a Canadian-born Pastor and evangelist A.B.Simpson, who sought to bring together Christians who would not only practice a deep spiritual existence at home, but would take Christ to the world through missionary endeavors.
In the late 1800's, rather unintentional ly, the denomination was born by a band of people committed to more. Calling for more emphasis and energy to take Christ to the lost, Simpson's humble beginnings spawned into a growing worldwide movement of churches.
