GUEST SPEAKER
REV. SUNDER KRISHNAN

Sunder Krishnan was born into an orthodox Hindu family in India and grew up in the capital city of New Delhi.  Sunder Krishnan came to know Jesus Christ as his Saviour through the ministry of Youth For Christ in the city of New Delhi during his first year of undergraduate studies. After moving to Toronto, Sunder and his family began attending Rexdale Alliance Church.  And in January of 1997 Sunder accepted a position as Senior Pastor at Rexdale Alliance Church.

Rev. Krishnan has been the featured speaker at the General Assembly of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada, the General Council for the Christian and Missionary Alliance in the United States, in several Bible Colleges, and numerous missionary conferences.  In addition he has ministered to many missionaries and pastors overseas.  In April 2000, he was given an honorary doctorate from the Canadian Bible College and Theological Seminary in Regina, Canada.

SEMINAR PRESENTERS

Since we are wrapping the District In-Service Training agenda into Staff Retreat, here is some information on what's coming:

DR. MORRIS and RUTH DIRKS will be leading a session on a theme that will resonate with many leaders: "Difficult Emotions in Ministry."

DR. GARRY SCHMIDT is a new member of the staff at Fairhaven Ministries.  He is a certified spiritual director and pastoral counselor.  You'll be heartened by his journey into the ministry of befriending and helping pastors.  He will lead a seminar on burnout in ministry.

DR. DAN REINHARDT is the Director of CREST Leadership Centre.  They run a program much like the Arrow Leadership program, but targeting those in mid-life and ministry.  It would be a great sabbatical idea, and Dan will lead a seminar on the mid-life issues in ministry renewal.
