An Update from Lloyd Peter's at Fort St. John Alliance.

At the beginning of May, we had our family Sunday.  The first Sunday of each month we focus on the Lord's table.  This Sunday, we had 2 baptisms schedule.  After these two shared their testimony as well as letting us know of two people who helped them get to this place in their spiritual journey I was ready to move on to the next part of the service.  (Saturday at a leadership meeting, I asked people to bring extra towels, and clothes because I wanted to 'open the tank'.  I asked them all to be praying even during the service.  After baptism #2 I said to everyone..... "maybe you are here today wishing you would have had the courage to follow the Lord in this step of baptism.  It's not too late.  We have towels, clothes, and you can get up here, pick the pastor you want to have baptize you and let's go.  One young dad, almost tripped coming out of the chairs, his wife came running down from the nursery where she was changing the baby, and as he shared his testimony, five more people came forward and each of the pastor's ministered.  Each one also got a follow up letter with an invitation for them to attend the next membership class.   What a great service as we followed with worship in music and then in communion.  God met with us and we are grateful.
