The Mentoring of Mothers Society is a registered Canadian charity which exists to "Strengthen Canadian families one mom at a time."  MOMS operates through local churches (there are 2 MOMS Chapters at Alliance churches already) and large group events and is looking to grow.  MOMS provides a manual with resources needed to run the program and lessons for the childcare program called "Bumble Bees".    MOMS started 10 years ago when Kelly Rader realized many of her friends were not attending the church Bible study.  The idea to create a program to meet mothers where they are at was the basis for the creation of MOMS. MOMS is designed to bridge the generation gap just as Titus 2 instructs, by bringing women of all ages together with motherhood as their common bond.  MOMS is a great inreach to the church and outreach to the community based on Biblical truths and resources with a parenting, marriage and women's issues focus.

Churches in need of revamping or starting a women's ministry program find MOMS a great program as it is user friendly and has job descriptions and training instructions to help build strong leadership teams.  MOMS chapters meet weekly October through the end of May with large group events throughout the year.  MOMS also produces a monthly newsletter with great information you can view at www.mentoringofmothers.com
