Ride 2012 is coming after General Assembly in July and early August!
What is the Ride?
RIDE 2012 starts in Winnipeg at the end of General Assembly. Teams of riders - bicycles and motorcycles-will head east and west, making their way to the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
Why Ride?
The heart of the Gospel is to manifest God's great love to those who don't know him. It means speaking out when injustice is perceived and giving help and loving support when people are hurting. Our six districts across Canada are deliberately targeting church plants to minister to the forgotten and disadvantaged within our communities. To help fund these churches we're asking you to "ride" with us - physically, prayerfully and financially next summer.
You can be a partner and a participant!
You can ride with our teams for all or part of the way.
Check out www.ride2012.ca
for more information on how you can be involved by either riding, sponsoring a rider, or being a host church!
Dave Blakely is our Canadian Pacific District Ride Coordinator. He'll be contacting your church, if he has not already, and letting you know how you can be involved. There will be a letter coming out from National Office with information that will help your church in supporting the Ride and its endeavors. Dave Blakely is also looking forward to reconnecting with all of our churches about the ride at Staff Retreat in January.
