Steve Elliott (our main speaker) shared the following sources as worth looking into as part of a pastor's ongoing learning or need for sabbatical:
- www.lilyendowment.org - click on 'Religion'. Up to $50,000 per pastor potentially available for sabbatical from the Eli Lilly Foundation, serving Canadian or American churches. Need to be thinking at least 18 months ahead. When applying focus should be around "What would make your heart sing?"
- www.louisville-institute.org - grants of up to $15,000 available toward sabbaticals.
- Beeson pastoral program - grants available for pastors wanting to enroll and pursue up to doctoral studies, to cover entire expense.
