"The entire object of true education is to make people not merely do the right things, but enjoy them; not merely industrious, but to love industry; not merely learned, but to love knowledge; not merely pure, but to love purity; not merely just, but to hunger and thirst after justice."

Just as Jesus loved and cared for children, we as the church are called to love and care for them. The children of our communities need people to reach out to them and provide them safe environments to grow as individuals, and Christian Education is a vehicle for transformation in their realtionships to Christ and others."

"And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors & teachers; for the perfecting of the saints; for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ."
Ephesians 4:11&12
Currently, only 5% of believers actually share their faith with another person in one year (The Barna Group, Ltd, Pastoral Research 2004). Evangelism is all about love. The perfect love -- the love that God has been showing us throughout time. We're called to share God's love to our families, our neighbours, our co-workers and throughout the world.
Sea to Sea is a recognition of Canada as a mission field and represents the Canadian C&MA's desire to reach this mission field through multiplying transformational churches. With a special concern for the least reached people groupings in Canada, churches are challenged to consider how they can be involved in multiplying their witness to others and also being part of a multiplication venture locally or nationally every 5 years. Your district has been working on ideas to support our churches in seeing Sea to Sea become the "5th S" in our global ministry. If you have questions, need assistance or would like to suggest ideas, contact Larry Eide at the District Office. You will be hearing more about Sea to Sea in the months ahead!
