"Intercultural Symposiums '09: Transitioning a Congregation to Embrace the Mission at our Doorstep"
This morning seminar will be held in eight cities across Canada throughout October and in Vancouver on October 2, 2009 at Broadway Church from 8am - 11:30am. Admission is $25.00 per person and includes a light breakfast.
A glance down the main street of any Canadian city makes it obvious that immigration is radically changing the face of Canada. To remain culturally relevant, congregations need to position themselves to intentionally reach out to people of different ethnic backgrounds for Christ. The theme of this year's Intercultural Symposiums: What would be the steps to effectively transition a congregation into reaching out cross-culturally?
Presenters: Dr Sam Owusu, professor at TWU and Pastor of Calvary Church in New Westminster, BC, Dr Andrew Lau, a Regent grad and Pastor of Cornerstone Community Church in Toronto and David Macfarlane of the BGEAC.
