Pacific Community Church will be hosting a lunch on June 23rd where Ruth Ann Fraser, a Parish Nurse from C&MA National Ministry Centre will come and share with pastors and board members from our district about the Parish Nurse Ministry.
How does the Parish Nurse Ministry help the local church?
- By strengthening the existing ministries of the church
- By supporting pastors as they counsel people with healthcare concerns
- By extending the outreach of the local church into our communities.
What do Parish Nurses do?
- Organize health and wellness seminars for all age groups
- Initiate support and recovery groups according to community needs
- Visit at home or in hospital
- Recruit, train and support volunteers to compliment existing health services
Who is Ruth Ann Fraser?
She is the National Coordinator for the Alliance Parish Nurse Ministry. She'd love to tell you about this ministry and answer your questions.
