It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of one of our retired workers in our district. Rev. Ed McCarthy passed away on July 23. He served many years as pastor at Mission Creek Alliance Church (when it was Kelowna Alliance Church. His life was remembered and honoured on July 29, and his life's work of ministry remains with many in our district.

Prayer for the Pyles Family
Please pray for our president of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada, Franklin Pyles, and for his family, as his Mom passed away on the evening of July 13. Please lift both Franklin and his wife Gay up in prayer during this time.
The Passing of Adina Chapman
On Tuesday July 6 retired overseas Alliance worker, Adina Chapman, went to be with the Lord peacefully in her sleep. She was declining in strength and ready to go to her reward in heaven for the last few years, so in many ways this was a blessing to her. Please pray for the family as they will miss her, but are comforted that they will see her again in heaven. Her life and faith was honored on July 12 at Foothills Alliance Church in Calgary.
Prayer for Jim and Marion Gunzel
Jim and Marion Gunzel (Westshore Alliance Church) would greatly appreciate your prayers as Jim's mother passed away on Tuesday, May 18th. Margaret Gunzel was just weeks away from her 100th birthday. She lived a long, passionate and authentic life, serving for many years in missionary ministry, and leaving behind a legacy of God's love for her family to follow. Her memorial service was held on Sunday May 23rd at Sevenoaks Alliance Church.
Prayer for Rick and Jan Gay
Rick and Jan Gay who serve at Summerland Alliance Church are mourning the loss of Jan's Father, Milton Quigg. Milton served faithfully with the Alliance in Nyack, New York for 25 years and then another 10 years as the Assistant Treasurer for the Alliance in Canada. He passed away on Monday, May 17, and the funeral was held on Saturday May 22 at First Alliance Church in Toronto where Milton was a member. Please pray for Jan and her two brothers as they go through this difficult time.
