On July 17th, we travelled to the lower mainland to meet (for the first time) our adopted daughter, Evangeline Selah Temple.  She was born in Edmonton on August 17, 2009.  She is ethnically Chinese and was adopted through the Ministry of Children and Family Development in BC.  After 4 days (of 7 scheduled days) of visitation we were able to bring her home on Wednesday July 21st.  Our kids Elijah (6) and Madalyn (3) love their new baby sister.  We could not have asked for a smoother transition for us or Evangeline.

NAMING - with Evangeline coming into a new home, with a new life, Hannah and I agreed a new name would be most appropriate.  Evangeline means "good news" as we feel she is good news to us!  Selah, is from the Psalms which likely means "pause and reflect" guiding the listener to meditate on the words of the Psalms.  Evangeline has already caused us to pause and reflect on God's goodness to us.
