Happy Thanksgiving! The leaves are changing colours and the air smells crisp and fresh (in some places a little more crisp than in others!). Fall is here, and Thanksgiving is just around the corner! May this Thanksgiving be a great opportunity with your church, family and friends to remember all that we have been given, and just how blessed we are. May we never forget all that Jesus has done for us, and may we remember all that he wants to do through us. And as you think about turkey this Thanksgiving, you might just be reminded about our upcoming Assembly in Turkey. Many of you have had questions about registering for Assembly and signing up for Road Trips. The CPD is sponsoring two of the Road Trips connected to Assembly. For information on those please click here, and view the information below regarding registering. Road Trip Registration: Registration for all the Road Trips will be done online as part of your registration for General Assembly. Please visit www.assembly2010.com for more information and to register! Once you provide basic information, you will be able to select your Road Trip. A deposit will be required. You can complete your registration for Assembly at a later date. For your Assembly registration to be considered complete, you must enter your flight itinerary (note: you may modify your registration after you have booked your flight). Full payments for Road Trips must be received by December 31, 2009. Refunds: Refunds must be requested no later than December 31, 2009. A $100 administration fee is applied when cancelling. Air Travel: Road trips hosted by Global Ministries do not include travel to the host country. You are required to make your own travel arrangements. Board, lodging, and in-country travel: All Road Trip prices include accomodation, meals and in-country transportation for the duration of your stay. All prices are in Canadian dollars except where noted. Once you sign up for a Road Trip you will receive a travel kit with further information about the country, and any relevant protocols. Travel Insurance: All travellers are recommended to purchase medical, cancellation and interruption insurance. The C&MA in Canada is not responsible for this coverage. There will be CPD sponsorship money available to our official workers and spouses who are lead pastors, associate pastors and youth pastors, as long as they are participating in one of the two road trips listed above. To be eligible for this grant they'll need to also be willing to participate in a Trilogy Process (pre-trip, on-trip, and post-trip). For more information on this grant or to qualify for receiving it, please email our office and request the CPD sponsorship grant details.
