2009 WORKSHOP FOR ELDERS BOARDS
"Strategic Community Engagement"*

Would you like your local church to be seen by the unchurched as a vital part of the health and hope of your community?

In this workshop David Collins will help boards think more deeply about Strategic Community Engagement and provide a template for evaluating strategic initiatives from three perspectives (a) the individuals involved (b) the church as a whole, and (c) the recipients of the ministry.  Boards will have opportunity to discuss their community engagement dreams/plans within this framework.

Presenter: Rev. David Collins

David and his wife Nancy have pastored three congregations and served as Alliance missionaries in Thailand and the Philippines - working in Vietnamese refugee camps.  In 1994 Dave founded Canadian Food for the Hungry, which he led until 2007.  With a desire to invest his life back in the Bride of Christ in Canada, David began to work with church leaders (boards and pastors), congregations, NGOs, camps, and the business community to extend the enjoyment of God's kingdom in every community in Canada.  Paradigm Ministries (www.paradigmministries.ca) was formed in January 2008 to provide the organizational home for this growing ministry passion.
