church ministries

The church has a fundamental responsibility to its children and youth and parents to ensure that everything is being done to shield them from the risk of abuse. The Plan to Protect program includes specific guidelines including these and more:

  • Have a detailed application form from all staff and volunteers who work with children and youth
  • Do police security checks
  • Train all involved in appropriate child protection procedures
  • Have a Response to Allegations of Abuse plan in place

Assurance of confidentiality of all information received from staff and volunteers is critical to acceptance of this plan.

**All CPD Churches have been asked to adopt Plan to Protect, and to let our District Office know.  Please download the form so your board can let the office know you've adopted Plan to Protect in your church.

Plan to Protect Manuals Please order a manual through the National Ministry Centre (416-674-7878).
